The magician mr. Verhip has lost his rabbit. Evi the Inventor helps him. During their search Evi comes up with original magic tricks.

Here you can take apart all sorts of old devices. From the loose parts, you can build new inventions. These can be things you’ve seen in the movies, but maybe you’d like to come up with your own creations! You can also use your creations for your own video in the magical green screen studio!
Els’ Rally Race (Nerdy Derby track)
Make your own wooden race car and test it out on our fantastic Nerdy Derby race track, which you see in Els’s workshop in the film “The Inventors’ Mystery.” Which car will cross the finish line first?

Did you know that air is quite powerful? You can actually float on a layer of air, even without the help of Magician Mister Verhip. Don’t believe it? Try it in our magical aerofilm box!!

For children aged 4 to 6, we have various magic tricks they can perform with their parents. Ask the instructors which tricks you can do! Can you:
Fold a kite that can fly even without wind?
Let a ball float freely in the air?
Play music with gears?
Make a real magic telescope?

Still a bit too young for the workshops at De Ontdekfabriek? Then you’ll have a blast in the crawl-through play chests filled with building blocks, toys, and marble runs!
make your own movies
Draw your own cartoon and play it back with a special device: the praxinoscope! Or step into the green screen studio and play with the special effects!
play outdoors
At The Discovery Factory, there’s a real playground. You can build huts to survive, or build huge wagons to race on the rails. Sometimes we’ll make and launch water rockets. Take a break on the unique bird swings. Or race like Els from “The Inventors’ Mystery” on our special go-karts! When we’re open outdoors, you can even build your own water system at “De Waterbende”!
