140 children build a new city with Stam + De Koning Bouw

Together with one of our Founding Partners, Stam + De Koning Bouw, we created an unforgettable day for 140 pupils of Basisschool De Trinoom. See below the post this great company published about it:

Future colleagues!?
Developing talent and creating a love for the technical trade at a young age is hugely important, which is why we are a co-founding partner of The Discovery Factory. Here, children go on adventures around technology and creativity. Because we believe that by stimulating technical skills at a young age and promoting the construction sector, we will be better able to meet the growing demand for technically trained people in the future. And who better to inspire than the young neighbours of our ‘Nieuw Bergen’ project.

Every day, the children of Basisschool de Trinoom play in their playground next to our building site. This is where we are creating a new piece of city. Last week we let the pupils of year groups 7 and 8 come up with and build a new city themselves. At our invitation, split into 2 groups, they took part in the ‘city of the future’ programme at The Discovery Factory. It was a day full of fun, success and perhaps some future colleagues in the making for us!
