Did you know that we offer complete lesson programmes that teachers can run in the classroom themselves? You can read all about them at www.deuitvinders.com. Our adventure guides are also happy to come to your school for guest lessons, team training or discovery activities with the pupils. Email us!

And of course you can bring your class to The Discovery Factory for excursions, guest lessons, workshops and school trips for primary schools. At the bottom of this page you will find all the information and a request form.

Why an excursion?

Do you want to really immerse yourselves in the world of technology and creativity? Then come to The Discovery Factory for an excursion! First you watch a film about an Uitvinders adventure that suits the age of the pupils, with discovery, friendship and creativity at its heart. After that you can choose from a range of inspiring workshops that tie in with the storytelling of the film. You will design, build, experiment, improve and experiment some more in our real workshop full of professional materials and tools. Of course with expert and enthusiastic guidance from our adventure guides. Among the objects from the film, creativity comes to life. This gives you a more intense and active learning experience than, for example, a guest lesson in the classroom.

An excursion offers:

1. A good example of inquiry-based and design-based learning.
2. Extra depth in the current statutory core objectives 44 and 45 (making connections between how something works, its shape and the materials used + learning to design, carry out and evaluate solutions to technical problems).
3. Extra depth in the new statutory core objectives 30A, 35 and 36 (gaining insight into and experimenting with technical systems + developing artistic and creative ability + making artistic/design expressions).
4. An excursion offers room for collaboration, creativity, depth and growth: an unforgettable experience that pupils will remember for a long time!
