Reading evenings 2026

Here you will find extra information about the reading evenings that Eindhoven Library organises for children and their parents. Reading aloud is a regular part of the summer school programme.

Below you can see the times and days of the reading sessions for each location. Is the time at your location not convenient? Then see if there is a time at another location that suits you. You do not need to register.

While your child listens to lovely stories, you will receive information about the library and reading aloud. Your child can also join the library for free.

Period 1

Wednesday 15 July: Rapenland (Generaal Boreelpad 29)
Wednesday 15 July: Bibliotheek Witte Dame (Emmasingel 22) (including pupils of ‘t Palet).

Thursday 16 July: Beppino Sarto (Sint Petrus Canisiuslaan 47)

Wednesday 22 July: De Schelp (Zuiderzeelaan 3)
Wednesday 22 July: Activiteitencentrum Orka (Broekakkerseweg 1) (including pupils of De BoschAkker).

Thursday 23 July: The Discovery Factory (Torenallee 22) (including pupils of Karel de Grote and Strijp-Dorp).

The reading evening for children aged 4 and 5 runs from 18:45 to 19:15.
The reading evening for children aged 6 to 8 runs from 19:30 to 20:00.

Period 2

Wednesday 5 August: De Schelp (Zuiderzeelaan 3)
Wednesday 5 August: The Discovery Factory (Torenallee 22) (including pupils of Karel de Grote and Strijp-Dorp).

Thursday 6 August: Bibliotheek Witte Dame (Emmasingel 22) (including pupils of De Driestam).

Wednesday 12 August: Rapenland (Generaal Boreelpad 29)
Wednesday 12 August: Bibliotoop Tongelre (Bloemfonteinstraat 62) (including pupils of BoschAkker).

The reading evening for children aged 4 and 5 runs from 18:45 to 19:15.
The reading evening for children aged 6 to 8 runs from 19:30 to 20:00.
