New Interreg project TATOE is under construction

On 23 August, Het Beroepenhuis in Ghent (Belgium) was the venue where the TATOE project partners came together for a first peer review meeting. The focus was on launching the activities TATOE will take up in the coming period.
TATOE stands for Talentenatelier van de Toekomst (Talent Studio of the Future). The aim is to give young people (12-18 years) the chance to discover their talents, interests and motivations. The studio is ‘of the future’: on the one hand it is about the future of young people who will enter the labour market within a few years, and on the other hand the studio highlights the skills and professions of the future labour market.

With TATOE, the partners introduce young people to ‘career thinking’ at an early stage by giving them a realistic picture of the labour market of the future. Discovering talents and interests is not a one-off activity, it is a lifelong process in which support from the people around them is crucial. That is why TATOE works on 3 levels: in education, in leisure time and at home.

The Talent Studio of the Future runs until the end of March 2027. During this period TATOE will develop:
– a studio for exploring professions
– a pathway that guides young people aged 12 to 18 towards a suitable
course or job
– professional development that strengthens the environment of the
young people (for example informing and enthusing
education professionals, parents and carers)

The European partners within TATOE are Het Beroepenhuis, Brightlab (RVO-Society), Groep INTRO and Stad Genk from Belgium. The Dutch partners are The
Discovery Factory, De Uitvindfabriek and Brainport Development.
