Inventors Competition Final in Amsterdam

What a fantastic celebration: the Inventors Final on 4 July 2024 at Move Amsterdam! Pupils from year groups 7 and 8 presented their inventions for sustainable mobility. A difficult term, but that did not stop them!

Inventions such as ‘Fly Away‘ (wings with solar panels that you can attach to your arms) or ‘Trash Ride‘ (a mobile hotel that sucks up waste and turns it into energy) surely have a future!

But the best invention was ‘The Bubble‘ by Masha, Georgia and Jilou from OBS De Kring: a kind of hovercraft that floats on bubbles of organic soap and water. No tarmac needed, because the roads are made of grass, with clean emissions and extra biodiversity thanks to the real herb garden on the roof!
