The Discovery Factory 2.0

Because the current building on Strijp-S is being renovated, The Discovery Factory has to move. This has resulted in a wonderful plan to create ‘The Discovery Factory 2.0’ in the Evoluonpark: the Toekomst Campus (Future Campus). We want to settle in a wooden pavilion that currently still stands on the former Floriade site in Almere.

Moving this so-called ‘Natural Pavilion‘ to our city would be a prime example of circularity. What is more, at this location The Discovery Factory can develop its proven concept further and work together with Next Nature Museum. With The Discovery Factory 2.0 we can do even more for talent development in children and young people, fully in line with the Brainport ambitions: after all, they are the inventors of tomorrow!

We cannot wait to help even more children and young people discover their creative and technical talents, for a great future. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if they could shape and experience their own future? We are going for it!

permit application

A permit application will be submitted for the move to the Evoluonpark. The Evoluon development framework shows that small, inspiring objects will appear in the park. The Discovery Factory’s pavilion is the first and largest of these. Because the zoning plan based on the development framework has not yet been adopted, a permit has to be applied for. The existing trees and plants will be kept intact as much as possible. Below you can see roughly where the pavilion would be placed.
