Bringing your pre-school class to The Discovery Factory?
Of course you can! After a short, inspiring animated film made for pre-schoolers, we get to work in small groups. The children do 5 short, engaging activities in a row that link to the film. We stimulate the senses and the children can experiment to their heart’s content.
You can choose from the following two school trips:

Magic with technology!
After a fun animated film about magician Mr Verhip and Evi the Inventor, the children explore magnetism, air, sound, light and movement, among other things. And all that without these difficult words, but within the fun context of magic! After all, who doesn’t want to pull a rabbit out of a hat or keep balls in the air without using their hands?

De Uitvinders make Music
‘De Uitvinders Make Music’ at The Discovery Factory offers pre-schoolers 5 activities to discover.
After a cheerful animated film about street musician Dunja and her dog Jip, the children explore the technology of sound. By experimenting and making their own musical instruments, they discover that vibrations in the air create sound.
Activities:
- Hammer together a mini guitar
- Programme a xylophone machine
- Build a tube instrument
- Dance with the Dancing Wire
- Musical marble run

Practical information
Duration: About 2.5 hours
Group size: maximum 35 pupils.
(With more than 30 children at once, the experience is slightly less good.)
Supervisors: There must be at least 1 supervisor per 5 children. The staff of The Discovery Factory will instruct and support your own group supervisor(s) so they can guide the children as well as possible in the discovery process.
Costs:
- €25 start-up fee per group/visit.
- + €9.50 per pupil.
(For fewer than 15 pupils, 15 pupils are charged) - optional: €1.50 per pupil for drinks/biscuits
